Eric Rokni

Eric Rokni previously served as the Penn State ASA Student Chapter’s President and Outreach Coordinator; he currently serves as the Student Council Representative.

Eric Rokni is currently a PhD student in the department of Acoustics at Penn State. Part of the Biomedical Acoustics Simon Laboratory (BASiL) lab, Eric is interested in using the color Doppler ultrasound twinkling artifact to help detect and diagnose pathological mineralizations. As a side project, he also performs research looking at the impact of cello soundpost location. Eric has served on the ASA national student council chapter as the musical acoustics representative. In his spare time, Eric enjoys playing cello and tennis as well as cheering on his favorite hometown Wisconsin sports teams.
