The student chapter participated in the Ask A Scientist event (put on by the Eberly College of Science) at the Centre County Grange Fair on August 23rd 2019. The Grange Fair is a huge phenomenon in the community surrounding Penn State, and the chapter was excited to interface with a lot of kids & adults from the local area. We showed off the Confusaphones again, as well as demonstrated and explained the basic concepts behind Active Noise Cancellation with a couple pairs of Bose QuietComfort headphones. Lots of kids (and some adults too!) seemed to enjoy and learn from what we had to show, which was very gratifying.
