We did Haunted U again this year – this time, with a Jurassic Park theme!
Haunted U is another Eberly College of Science outreach event that the Penn State ASA has had fun with in the past.
This year, we brought back the chaldni plates, to talk about vibration in 2 dimensions…
and one-dimensional waves on a string (with strobe light)…
This year we also added a demo of propagating waves in oobleck poured onto a speaker cone (see cymatics).
