Every year, Penn State University’s Office of Science Outreach holds ENVISION: STEM Career Day Supporting Young Women! 100-150 middle school and high school level students from around the state (mostly girls, but some boys as well) come to Penn State for a full day of inspirational talks, hands-on science workshops, networking events, and an opportunity to see themselves in STEM.
On Saturday, February 24th, members of ASA participated in ENVISION, where we led a 60-minute workshop performing a series of hands-on activities related to fundamental concepts in acoustics! Overall, everyone had a blast, and we look forward to our next outreach event!
